As he stands erect


He smiles


His audience is smitten


Those that should question


Are transfixed


Their Lord and Savior


Is about to pronounce the path


The sheep shall trod


He grins as he speaks


There shall be no compromise or limit imposed


Perhaps he knows what baggage lies in the shadows


His concern is not his Pollyanna adversaries


But those that pay the bill


How dare you squander the people’s resources


You claim that you are establishing a new order


So that those who have had little can share in the


Largesse of America


They bring neither an education nor a job


Only an outstretched hand that merely says I want


It is time that you found a quiet corner


And read the Book


Perhaps then you will understand


Civility, charity, patriotism and love of fellow man


Try it


Go to work on Monday, go hunting on Saturday


Then Church on Sunday


You will have walked the walk and not uttered a word


The world will know
