As he stands erect
He smiles
His audience is smitten
Those that should question
Are transfixed
Their Lord and Savior
Is about to pronounce the path
The sheep shall trod
He grins as he speaks
There shall be no compromise or limit imposed
Perhaps he knows what baggage lies in the shadows
His concern is not his Pollyanna adversaries
But those that pay the bill
How dare you squander the people’s resources
You claim that you are establishing a new order
So that those who have had little can share in the
Largesse of America
They bring neither an education nor a job
Only an outstretched hand that merely says I want
It is time that you found a quiet corner
And read the Book
Perhaps then you will understand
Civility, charity, patriotism and love of fellow man
Try it
Go to work on Monday, go hunting on Saturday
Then Church on Sunday
You will have walked the walk and not uttered a word
The world will know
