Tho I be a mortal I have traveled these lanes and highways for eons

I have been as a wisp of smoke going from one land, one battle and then

To another over and over again

Until those days when my maker called my name four different times

I knew then there was another purpose to my life

I had much to learn and much more to do

The earth is warm, I begin to grow

From one I have been given a talisman that connects me to my past

Eyes that sparkled like the jewels of the heavens

Hair that radiates the reds and goldens of the leaves of the fall

The beauty and wonder that a mortal seeks.

All this I did once abandon but never again.

I have been told to sheath my sword and fight no more.

That there is another way

But again I must wait to learn more

It is spring

As I travel again I come upon a forsythia clad in a hue of gold.

A sign of rebirth

My quest goes on and I will prevail
